10/5/2016: Sherri, a descendant of one of several mysterious drowning victims of Punderson Lake, wrote in with this bit of fascinating historic information. It seems that Punderson Manor has not given up some of its dead.
10/4/2016: Kallie shares her experiences as a student at haunted Muskingham University.
Not sure if you’ve heard about this school before, but many other paranormal sites list it and as a current student I’ve experienced a lot of freaky stuff too. Continue reading
10/13/2015: Kim S. shares an alarming image she captured while taking pictures of her family. Could it be a female spirit with an unexplained connection to the property, as one “medium” has theorized?
On August 27th, 2013, I captured this image by accident in one of the Cedar Point Cabins upon entering. I was taking pics to send to a friend of the cabin layout. I had just entered and asked my family to stand to the side so I could get uncluttered pics.
The television was off as we had just literally walked in – I have had it looked at by a well known Medium and he has validated it and claims it to be a woman with a connection to the property.
The first two will be of the image that I captured (not knowing at the time), a zooming in of the face.
You can see my reflection snapping the pic in the photos (in the television) and then the spirit in there. Please note when reviewing my pics – the remote is clearly still sitting on top of the TV – as I stated, we had just walked in the door.
The next photos are ones I tried to take after seeing it to validate it and show the TV was off at the time and then with it on, etc. I also have a pic of where I was standing to show all angles and that the face blocked reflections of the futon couch.
[Editor’s note: Comparison photo of TV off.]
[Editor’s note: Comparison photo of TV on.]
There was no way of redoing that pic with the image – I tried to debunk it with my follow up photos – which clearly show our belonging having been moved into the upper loft, TV on and off and a shot of the space I stood in – in front of the window. It freaked us out.
I only noticed it was there about 20 minutes later when I zoomed into the photo to make sure my daughter had not stuck her tongue or “finger” out at me so I could forward to my friend in Colorado.
I haven’t been back since that trip – but am returning this weekend Oct 9-11, 2015 for Halloweekend. Wish me luck!!!
5/15/2015: So what is Edwin Shaw Hospital like at night? Tina is here to show you.
I have never went out and did something like this before. This place was pretty creepy. This was just a couple of the pictures I took.
Feel free to post. I’m going back to see what I can get in the Sunshine Village and cemetery area tonight. Will share if I get something good!
8/26/14: Kristen and her friends visited the Kirtland Crybaby Bridge late one night, and got what they were looking for. Or did they? Check out her photo and decide for yourself.
I went with two other guys to cry baby bridge in Kirtland. We were teenagers looking for a scare or the truth, the usual teenage stuff.
I brought my camera with me and we stopped on the bridge. It was raining outside so we stayed in the car. We didn’t know exactly what would happen so most of us were nervous just being there at 10:30 at night. It was pitch black and you couldn’t see anything.
I took my camera and had the flash on. I snapped a few pictures all about the bridge from the car. I took one picture of the creek in the woods that were closed off to the public. I happened to catch a strange image in the picture. It was a white orb seemed to be moving even though I had the camera very still. And it had green tint in the middle of this orb.
I showed this to the two guys I was with and they freaked out and we left ASAP.
I wanted to see if anyone could debunk this photo but I cannot come up with any logical answers
When you go to Cedar Point this summer, be sure to check out its newest ghostly attraction. If you are confused about which Cedar Point ghost we are talking about, Rich shares photos to help you identify the right one:
My wife took these photos at our stay at the Breakers Inn at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. In the first photo, a young boy is seen in the right side of the picture. You can also see my wife’s reflection in the left. There was no little boy anywhere near her when she took this picture.
She then took another photo a few minutes later after she looked at the photo and saw what she captured.
10/28/08: Thomas gives a crash photo course on the other legends that accompany crybaby bridge on Abbeyville Road:
There are other places that are supposed to be haunted on Abbeyville Rd.
4/23/10: Michelle’s encounter is a grim reminder that the spooks don’t come out only at night.
I was reading your bit on the bridge on Egypt road and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Continue reading
4/2/09: Dirt Lawyer waxes nostalgic as he fondly recalls Melon Head campfire tales and spooks. Other story tellers may have their killer with a hook for a hand. In NE Ohio, we have our Melon Heads.
In the 1960’s and early 1970’s our camp counselors at Red Raider Camp in Novelty/Russell Township on the western edge of Geauga County would horrify us with campfire tales of the Melon Heads when we’d camp on land owned by the Metallurgy Society. Continue reading
5/2/05: Dim the lights real low to get the full horrific effect of Kari’s Top Ten List of All Things Evil at Woolyburger Cemetery.
Hello, I have also visited the cemetery, which is also known as the Little Pennsylvania Cemetery. Wooly Burger is a name it gained over time due to the rumors of a large Big Foot-like creature living back there. I have never experienced a Big Foot encounter but I have definitely experienced many different things back there such as… Continue reading
